A Landscape
of Death and Love
Landscape forms the
backdrop to our life experience, physically embracing our sadness
and happiness, our success and failure.
These ambiguous giants inspire emotion, yet remain dormant to
our response. They stand timeless, without comment, but forever
present, our experience a short second at the foot of their immortality.
Our experiences are rarely equal to these natural skyscrapers,
only occasionally do we elevate our fragility against these incredible
things. They remain indifferent to life and death and indifferent
to love.
This landscape represents the landscape of a painter and the landscape
for a life. A life of joy and sadness, death and love.
'From bitter searching
of the heart, quickened with passion and with pain we rise to
play a greater part'
Frank
Scott (1899 - 1985)

of France.)
